Our Midlake centre is located near MacLeod Trail and Bannister Road in the Midnapore neighbourhood. Parents will enjoy the onsite parking in front of the building for easy pick-up and drop-off, as well as close proximity to the CTrain and bus. This centre can accommodate up to 131 children who range in age from 0 months to 12 years old.
Our location is proudly endorsed by Eco-Healthy Child Care®, a program that partners with child care professionals to eliminate environmental hazards in early learning settings with the goal of protecting the health of children and staff.
Inside you’ll find bright, colourful classrooms that are always filled with natural sunlight streaming in from the large windows. Each of the 11 classrooms is equipped with password-protected webcams as well as toys that support our emergent curriculum and learn-through-play philosophy.
Our programs are designed for Infants, Toddlers, Preschoolers, Kindergarteners and School Agers on a full-time, part-time, or backup care basis. Our year-round School Age program includes before and after school care with transportation to and from École Mother Teresa (French Immersion) and Midnapore Elementary School (English/Mandarin).
Fish Creek Park is within walking distance, making it a great trip for our older children to enjoy. Additionally, outside of our building is a shaded playground that children of all ages make use of every day.
Children are provided with a hot lunch and 3 snacks each day, catered by our Kidco Kitchen. The Kidco Kitchen is founded on a fresh-from-scratch philosophy and our food contains no additives, preservatives, artificial flavours or colours. Learn more here.

Meet the Director
My name is Julie Moses and I am the Director at the Kids & Company Midlake centre. I am a recipient of a Level 3 Early Childhood Education diploma and have been working in the child care field for more than 30 years. Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of working with children of all ages, from infants to school age. Coming to work every morning and having the opportunity to interact with children and marvel at their growth and development makes my job a true pleasure. To let you know a bit about myself, I am the proud mother of two beautiful girls, Erin and Kylla, who are my favourite people in the world to hang out with alongside my husband! We love to go to the movies together, try out new restaurants, and spend time outdoors exploring the mountains. The dream for me would be to move to Scotland and live in a beautiful castle, who knows, it could happen! I love working here at Midlake as the staff are fantastic and dedicate their hearts to the children. Without them, the centre would not be the caring, safe and loving environment that it is. Kids & Company’s Infant program welcomes newborns up to roughly 15 months. Infants learn about the world around them through their senses, so exploration is critical to their development. Nurturing educators support the children while they take in their surroundings, encouraging them to experience everything the classroom offers; be it creative art, exploring with blocks, listening to songs or engaging in story-time. Our infant program encourages children to follow their own established routines, while becoming comfortable and secure in a new group setting.
Kids & Company’s Toddler program is for children between the ages of roughly 15 months and 2.9 years. Toddlers are mobile and eager to explore their environment. As they strive for independence, our educators use an Emergent curriculum approach to learning that supports each child’s individuality. Some of the most important learning outcomes of our toddler program are language development, socialization, self-help skills, and the development of fine and gross motor skills.
Kids & Company’s Preschool program is designed for children between the ages of roughly 2.9 - 6 years. Our educators interact, observe and interpret the interests of our children to encourage discoveries. Our Preschool program provides a foundation for developing greater independence and problem-solving skills; the program integrates new concepts into our children’s world view, promotes sharing and mutual respect, and prepares them for Kindergarten.
Kids & Company’s School Age program accepts children from 5 - 12 years old (Grade 1 - 6) and is available at select locations. Programs include Before and After School Care, School Break Programming, and Summer Camp. Classroom space exists for smaller groups to gather, and activities are designed to meet the needs of varying developmental levels, touching on arts, science, math, drama, imaginative play, and physical fitness. Educators are also available to provide academic support for children that wish to do their homework during After School Care.
