Niagara Queen

Our Centre

Our Kids & Company Niagara centre is located at the corner of Queen and Ontario street, just next to City Hall. We have 4 classrooms and can accommodate up to 57 children ranging from infant to 5 years. Our centre is always filled with smiling faces, both from our children and our fantastic staff. We take both pleasure and pride in seeing all of our children reach their milestones, as they grow and transition through our programs. Our incredible team of teachers work together to form a strong support network for our families, in addition to a nurturing learning environment for our children. Some of our staff have been providing child care in this building for over 30 years! Subsidies are accepted in Niagara. Contact the Centre Director for more information

Meet the Director

I am Brittany Rogal, the Centre Director of Kids & Company Niagara Queen. I attended Niagara College where I received a diploma for Early Childhood Education and I am an Early Childhood Resource Teacher. I have been working in child care for 12 years, and I have been working with Kids & Company since 2010. I have always wanted to work in child care because children always put a smile on my face. Watching them develop and grow into amazing human beings is a very rewarding experience. In my spare time, I enjoy reading books, spending time outdoors with my family, going on trips to discover new local places, and going to live sporting events. My favourite thing about the Kids & Company Niagara Queen location is the amazing staff we have! Our staff are very loving, caring and full of happiness! They are always sharing ideas with each other and lending a helping hand where needed. At Kids & Company, we view the children as capable and competent. We encourage them to be leaders of their own studies. We enjoy seeing what the children are interested in and watching them figure out their own learning paths. We could be learning about the same topic for one day or one month! It’s all up to the kids and their desire to learn and play! Now that you know a little more about me, I hope to see you and your family soon!

At Kids & Company, we work with your family to ensure that the transition is a smooth one. Before your child’s first day, we’ll provide information on what to expect. We’ll create an integration schedule that is right for your child and every day that your child is in the classroom, you’ll receive a daily report that lets you know how your child’s day was. You’ll also be able to see him or her on our in classroom web cameras. The Centre Director will even send you an email before the end of the day if your child has a special “wow” moment that day.

Toddlers learn best in the context of relationships within small groups. There are fewer distractions and children’s activities are more focused. In Kids & Company toddler classrooms, our small groups allow very young children to make connections, form caring relationships, and learn to understand other children.

All two-year-olds examine everything they see, hear, feel and observe in an attempt to make sense of the world around them. In our preschool programs, Kids & Company teachers interact, observe and interpret the interests of preschool students to encourage further discoveries by planning activities and investigations that expand your child’s learning.

Kids & Company runs comprehensive kindergarten programs designed for children who are 4 or 5 years old (junior and senior kindergarten age) to prepare them for Grade 1. Using emergent curriculum techniques to adapt to the children’s’ interests and skills, we set a foundation of early literacy, numeracy, artistry, and the construction of relationships and ideas. Kindergarten programs are integrated into full-time child care to provide convenience and continuity.
