Emergent Curriculum: A Play-based Approach to Early Learning
At Kids & Company, we follow an emergent approach to curriculum—a child-centered, play-based way of learning that begins with careful observation of children’s interests, questions, and developmental cues. Bringing the Outdoors In: Nature-Based Learning
Natural materials are woven into our classroom in many ways, from our classroom nature shelves to sensory play, and art experiences. Simple natural materials such as leaves, stones, sticks, pinecones, shells, flowers, seed pods, and tree bark offer endless possibilities for learning. Often a collection of outdoor treasures becomes the starting point for a new idea, a question, or an unexpected discovery. By offering materials and experiences that build on these interests, we give children the opportunity to explore their ideas, make connections, and learn in ways that feel meaningful to them.
Daily Digital Reporting
You’ll receive daily reports on what your child eats, their nap times, curriculum activities, milestones and more. Delivering mid-day smiles as well as important insight into your child’s day.
Webcams
Password-protected web cameras are installed in each classroom and provide a real-time video feed of your child’s day.
Nutritious meals & snacks
Children enjoy a hot lunch and three snacks each day, prepared by our Kidco Kitchen — made from scratch with no additives, preservatives, or artificial flavours or colours.

Every classroom follows rigorous health and safety protocols, tailored to meet local licensing and regional public health requirements. Your child’s well-being is always our top priority.

My name is Anmolpreet, and I am the Centre Director at Kids & Company Winnipeg. I hold a Diploma in Early Childhood Education from Canadore College and have over three years of experience in child care. I am passionate about supporting children as they learn, grow, and develop in a safe, caring, and nurturing environment. What I love most about being part of Kids & Company is the opportunity to support each child’s unique journey, foster their development, and create a positive space where every child feels valued, supported, and encouraged to thrive.
