April 2, 2026 – Kids & Company, a leader in early childhood education and corporate-sponsored child care, is pleased to announce the acquisition of Friends for Life Childcare, a well-respected provider serving families across Nova Scotia. This acquisition brings 11 centres in Nova Scotia into the Kids & Company family of brands, further strengthening the company’s growing presence in Atlantic Canada and expanding access to reliable, high-quality child care for working families and employer partners in the region. The expansion builds on the exceptional foundation established by Friends for Life’s dedicated educators and leadership team.
For more than two decades, Kids & Company has been a leading child care provider. By joining forces with Friends for Life Childcare, Kids & Company will bring expanded resources, enhanced programming, and additional operational expertise to families and staff, complementing the already successful offerings of the Friends for Life centres.
“We are thrilled to welcome Friends for Life Childcare into the Kids & Company family,” said Victoria Sopik, Co-Founder & CEO of Kids & Company. “The core values of our two organizations are well-aligned, and we are committed to maintaining the high quality of care for which they are known.” Together, we are strengthening our ability to support families while helping employers meet the evolving needs of today’s workforce.”
Kids & Company looks forward to working closely with the Friends for Life community through a smooth transition process, ensuring that children and families continue to receive the exceptional care they expect, provided by the same dedicated staff.
“Kids & Company’s commitment to high-quality early learning environments and family engagement aligns beautifully with our own values and philosophy,” said Lisa Beddow, Founder of Friends for Life Childcare. “We are confident this partnership will strengthen our ability to support children, families, and educators alike.”
