This location is near the main intersections of Woodroffe Ave. and Fallowfield Rd in a small plaza with plenty of free parking. We are located right at the edge of a quiet neighbourhood with large fields to the north and east of us.
Our location is proudly endorsed by Eco-Healthy Child Care®, a program that partners with child care professionals to eliminate environmental hazards in early learning settings with the goal of protecting the health of children and staff.
We have 6 classrooms that can accommodate 104 children in our Infant, Toddler, Preschool and School Age programs. Parents have the option of enrolling their children in full-time or backup care.
Our classrooms are colourful with large windows and have webcams that caregivers can access throughout the day. Behind the building is a large, private, fenced-in outdoor play area that is partly shaded and surrounded by trees for us to enjoy year-round.
Children are provided with a hot lunch and 3 snacks each day, catered by our Kidco Kitchen. The Kidco Kitchen is founded on a fresh-from-scratch philosophy and our food contains no additives, preservatives, artificial flavours or colours. Learn more here.

Hello, my name is Zahra Abdilahi and I am the Centre Director at Kids & Company Barrhaven location. I am a recipient of an Early Childhood Education Diploma from Loyalist College. I have been working with children for the last 15 years — my love for children started at an early age. I have been blessed with 2 children: a son and a daughter. In my spare time, I love to go on walks, swim and read a great book.My favourite thing about working at Kids & Company is how each team member is devoted to bettering children’s lives. Our team works wonderfully together and we have so much respect for each other. We work together as a unit to provide the best possible care for our children. The families at our Barrhaven centre are so connected to each other. For the last 11 years, we have the privilege to serve these wonderful families and their children. Kids & Company’s Toddler program is for children between the ages of roughly 15 months and 2.9 years. Toddlers are mobile and eager to explore their environment. As they strive for independence, our educators use an Emergent curriculum approach to learning that supports each child’s individuality. Some of the most important learning outcomes of our toddler program are language development, socialization, self-help skills, and the development of fine and gross motor skills.
Kids & Company’s Preschool program is designed for children between the ages of roughly 2.9 - 6 years. Our educators interact, observe and interpret the interests of our children to encourage discoveries. Our Preschool program provides a foundation for developing greater independence and problem-solving skills; the program integrates new concepts into our children’s world view, promotes sharing and mutual respect, and prepares them for Kindergarten.
