Our Infant centre is located in the centre of the community of Elmsdale in the Village square. The former train station is located near Leno's stop shop, Riverview United Church and Elmsdale Presbyterian Church. There is a small community playground located on school road and a gazebo area next to the infant centre.

Meet the Director
Nancy Ivey
My name is Nancy Ivey and I am the Centre Director at the Kids & Company Elmwood Infant location. I hold a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Mount Allison University, an Early Childhood Education Diploma from NSCEC, and an Adult Education Certificate from Jane Norman College, and I have been working in child care for over 30 years, wearing many hats throughout my career. I am passionate about creating environments where children can explore, imagine, and build meaningful relationships through play, both indoors and outdoors. My philosophy centers on the importance of creativity, nature, and inquiry-based learning. What I love most about working at Kids & Company is the strong connection with families and staff, and being part of an organization that prioritizes quality care and the well-being of every child. The Elmwood Infant Centre is in Elmsdale in a renovated railway station and has an abundance of historical character. Many of our educator have worked there since it was opened. The program focuses on infant loose parts, schema play and sensory exploration.
