Regional Information (Updated April 2022)

As regional risks and protocols vary, the Centre Director will have the most relevant information for that specific location. Below are summaries of the Health & Safety Procedures in each of the areas we operate centres.

Canada

Alberta

We continue to care for and enroll children at our centres in Alberta. Additional safety protocols are in place such as enhanced environmental cleaning and hygiene practices, screening, cohorting, physical distancing, and the optional use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). We adhere to the Government of Alberta’s GUIDANCE FOR PRESCHOOL, DAY CARE AND OUT OF SCHOOL CARE (CHILD CARE) (Updated March 2022).

British Columbia

We continue to care for and enroll children at our centres in British Columbia. Additional safety protocols are in place such as enhanced environmental cleaning and hygiene practices, screening, cohorting, physical distancing, and the optional use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Kids & Company has gone beyond British Columbia’s regional protocols to implement an internal policy requiring staff to wear a non-medical (cloth) or disposable medical/surgical mask or face covering while inside the child care centre. We adhere to the BC Centre for Disease Control Public Health Guidance for Child Care Settings During the COVID-19 Pandemic (Updated February 7, 2022).

Manitoba

We continue to care for and enroll children at our centre in Manitoba. Additional safety protocols are in place such as enhanced environmental cleaning and hygiene practices, screening, cohorting, physical distancing, and the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). We adhere to the Province of Manitoba’s Manitoba Families COVID-19 Notices and Circulars (Updated March 1, 2022).

Nova Scotia

We continue to care for and enroll children at our centres in Nova Scotia. Additional safety protocols are in place such as enhanced environmental cleaning and hygiene practices, screening, cohorting, and physical distancing, and the optional use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). We adhere to the Government of Nova Scotia’s COVID-19 Public Health Guidance for Child Care Settings (Updated March 2022).

Ontario

We continue to care for and enroll children at our centres in Ontario. Additional safety protocols are in place such as enhanced environmental cleaning and hygiene practices, screening, physical distancing, and the optional use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). We adhere to Ontario’s Operational guidance during COVID-19 outbreak: child care (Updated February 7, 2022).

Quebec

We continue to care for and enroll children at our centre in Quebec. Additional safety protocols are in place such as enhanced environmental cleaning and hygiene practices, screening, cohorting, physical distancing, and the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). We adhere to the Government of Québec: Educational childcare services in the context of COVID-19 pandemic (Updated February 2, 2022).
