Holiday Booklist for Young Readers 

At Kids & Company, we know that stories are one of the most meaningful ways to introduce children to new ideas. This year’s Holiday Booklist features books that help children discover cultural traditions, and embrace the warmth and joy of this time of year! 

Below are six delightful reads recommended by our educators that invite children to learn, imagine, and celebrate the many ways families celebrate the holidays. 

 

  1. Mouse’s First Christmas by Lauren Thompson

This gentle and cozy classic follows a curious little mouse celebrating Christmas for the very first time. Through soft, rhythmic language and warm illustrations, young readers join Mouse as they discover ornaments, stockings, treats, and all the magic the holiday brings. It’s a perfect, introductory Christmas story for babies and toddlers.  

     

  1. The Itsy Bitsy Dreidel by Jeffrey Burton
