Nibbles for Play Dates

When your children approach the stage in their lives where they are starting to walk, talk and play with their peers, it is the prime time to start encouraging more play dates! Children learn best through interacting with other one another, so it is important that they’re consistently given these opportunities! Inviting their friends over to play are a great way for your kids to grow physically, mentally and socially. Your little ones will have the chance to cooperate and collaborate in brand new settings as well as gain knowledge on how to share, be polite and respectful of each other. By bonding with other children, they are forced to think about their friends’ needs and wants. All this brain development is super exciting – and it is our job as parents to keep it going! That’s why we are always more than prepared with a fun selection of snacks to keep our kiddies running all day long!

It may be hard to focus on making foods while supervising all the kids that are running all around your house so an easy idea is to prepare the snacks in advance. Some easy snacks that you could prepare in advance that take little to no preparation are fruit, cheese and crackers! These are quick and easy snacks that your kids will enjoy and that will give them the energy to enjoy the rest of the day! If your kiddies love hanging around your kitchen, make sure you include them in the snack making as part of their play date! An easy to prepare, creative snack option your kiddies will love making is our Tangy Tzatziki Dip as a side with all the new Spring veggies that are popping up at your local farmers market!
