This location is in the Vancouver Oakridge neighborhood, in the same building as the Presbyterian Church, and close to the Oakridge Mall and Tisdall Park. We are in a new building with floor-to-ceiling windows and beautiful playgrounds. There is underground parking at the rear of the building allowing for easy pick ups and drops offs, accessible through Ash Street/Back Lane next to the library. This location is also close to two SkyTrain stations: Oakridge 41st and Langara 49.
We have 4 classrooms that can accommodate 28 full-time and 39 half-day children. On our 2nd floor, we have our Infant-Toddler classroom and our 30-months old to 5-years old on the 3rd floor.
At Kids & Company, we use an emergent curriculum and learn-through-play philosophy. This means children are presented with learning opportunities in direct response to their individual interests and skills. Our children are immersed in experiences that enhance language, literacy, a sense of music and rhythm, and socialization so that they may develop independence, confidence and a positive sense of self and the world around them.
Children are provided with snacks each day, catered by our in-house Kidco Kitchen. The Kidco Kitchen is founded on a fresh-from-scratch philosophy and our food contains no additives, preservatives, artificial flavours or colors. Learn more here.

My name is Palwinder Kaur, and I am the Centre Director at Kids & Company’s Cambie location. I hold my ECE/IT/SNE certificate. With a deep passion of my education, I am dedicated to create a nurturing environment where every child feels safe, supported, and inspired to learn.
I strongly believe in the power of play-based learning and in giving children the freedom to explore, express themselves, and develop independence. My approach combines warmth, structure, and curiosity—caring for children like a mother and teaching like a teacher.
With several years of experience working with children of various ages, I strive to build strong relationships with families and educators. I value open communication, partnership, and consistency in supporting each child’s unique developmental journey.
At our Cambie centre, my goal is to lead a team that fosters joyful learning, meaningful connections, and a positive, collaborative community for children, families, and staff.
Kids & Company’s Infant program welcomes newborns up to roughly 15 months. Infants learn about the world around them through their senses, so exploration is critical to their development. Nurturing educators support the children while they take in their surroundings, encouraging them to experience everything the classroom offers; be it creative art, exploring with blocks, listening to songs or engaging in story-time. Our infant program encourages children to follow their own established routines, while becoming comfortable and secure in a new group setting.
Kids & Company’s Toddler program is for children between the ages of roughly 15 months and 2.9 years. Toddlers are mobile and eager to explore their environment. As they strive for independence, our educators use an Emergent curriculum approach to learning that supports each child’s individuality. Some of the most important learning outcomes of our toddler program are language development, socialization, self-help skills, and the development of fine and gross motor skills.
Kids & Company’s Preschool program is designed for children between the ages of roughly 2.9 - 6 years. Our educators interact, observe and interpret the interests of our children to encourage discoveries. Our Preschool program provides a foundation for developing greater independence and problem-solving skills; the program integrates new concepts into our children’s world view, promotes sharing and mutual respect, and prepares them for Kindergarten.
