This location is in the cozy fishing community of Eastern Passage, just a few minutes from MacCormacks Beach Provincial Park and Angel’s Beach. We are easily accessible by car or transit and have plenty of on-site parking to make drop-off and pick-up easy for parents and caregivers.
Our location is proudly endorsed by Eco-Healthy Child Care®, a program that partners with child care professionals to eliminate environmental hazards in early learning settings with the goal of protecting the health of children and staff.
There are 8 classrooms that can accommodate 136 children from ages 1 to 12 years old. We offer Toddler and Preschool programs with the option of full-time, backup care, and flex care. Flex care accommodates families that have irregular schedules, allowing you to pick the number of days you’d like your child to attend per week.
We also have School Age programs including Before and After School care, School Break care, and Summer Camp. Our 72-seater school bus allows us to transport School Agers to and from local schools each day.
At Kids & Company, we use an emergent curriculum and learn-through-play philosophy. This means children are encouraged to follow their interests and are guided by our Early Childhood Educators as they learn.
Our building is an old school, so there is plenty of space, a large field out front, and great infrastructure for learning. There is also a great gym inside for children to get active on snowy or rainy days. Outside are several structures for children to play on and plenty of space to run around. Behind the building is a large wooded area which allows for privacy and peace and quiet.
Our amazing in-house chef provides children with a hot lunch and 3 snacks each day. Meals are founded on a fresh-from-scratch philosophy and our food contains no additives, preservatives, artificial flavours or colours.

Meet the Director
My name is Kirsten Wilson and I am the Centre Director of Kids & Company Eastern Passage. I am a recipient of an Early Childhood Education Diploma and have been in the child care field for over 11 years. I started with Kids & Company in September of 2019. I knew that I wanted to work with children at a young age; I spent my time volunteering at my mom’s school-age program and fell in love with the field! What I love most about Kids & Company Eastern Passage is the sense of family we have at our centre!
Kids & Company’s Toddler program is for children between the ages of roughly 15 months and 2.9 years. Toddlers are mobile and eager to explore their environment. As they strive for independence, our educators use an Emergent curriculum approach to learning that supports each child’s individuality. Some of the most important learning outcomes of our toddler program are language development, socialization, self-help skills, and the development of fine and gross motor skills.
Kids & Company’s Preschool program is designed for children between the ages of roughly 2.9 - 6 years. Our educators interact, observe and interpret the interests of our children to encourage discoveries. Our Preschool program provides a foundation for developing greater independence and problem-solving skills; the program integrates new concepts into our children’s world view, promotes sharing and mutual respect, and prepares them for Kindergarten.
Kids & Company’s School Age program accepts children from 5 - 12 years old (Grade 1 - 6) and is available at select locations. Programs include Before and After School Care, School Break Programming, and Summer Camp. Classroom space exists for smaller groups to gather, and activities are designed to meet the needs of varying developmental levels, touching on arts, science, math, drama, imaginative play, and physical fitness. Educators are also available to provide academic support for children that wish to do their homework during After School Care.
