Meet the Director

My name is Sukhwinder Kaur Rana, but most people call me Sukhi. I have over ten years of experience in Early Childhood Education and am deeply passionate about nurturing young minds. I hold a diploma in Early Childhood Education with a focus on Infant-Toddler and Special Needs from the Pacific Rim Early Childhood Institute, and I am currently completing my Community Care Licensing studies at the Justice Institute of British Columbia. I work as an Early Childhood Infant/Toddler and Special Needs Educator.

I believe that the environment is a child’s third teacher, and I strive to create spaces that are responsive to each child’s social, emotional, intellectual, physical, and cultural needs. I focus on fostering essential lifelong skills such as self-esteem, cooperation, problem-solving, and respect for others. My daily goal is to make families and children feel welcome and supported by providing a safe, secure, and nurturing environment. I truly adore the natural curiosity of children and find great joy in learning and playing alongside them.

In my leisure time, I enjoy writing literature for young readers, playing musical instruments, learning new life skills, spending time with my family, and practicing meditation.
