Our Sherwood Park location is in the Business Centre plaza at the intersection of Granada Blvd and Sherwood Dr, nearby Festival Place and Sherwood Park Mall. We are easily accessible by car or transit, and parking is available out front for easy pick-up and drop-off.
Our location is proudly endorsed by Eco-Healthy Child Care®, a program that partners with child care professionals to eliminate environmental hazards in early learning settings with the goal of protecting the health of children and staff.
We have 6 classrooms that can accommodate 153 children from 0 months to 12 years old. Children in our Infant, Toddler and Preschool programs can attend on a full-time or backup care basis. Our School Age children are welcome to our Summer Camp that is offered when school is not in session.
Each classroom is well stocked with educational materials to support our emergent curriculum and learn-through-play philosophy. Outside is a fenced-in playground that offers a chance to enjoy some fresh air in all seasons.
Children are provided with a hot lunch and 3 snacks each day, catered by our Kidco Kitchen. The Kidco Kitchen is founded on a fresh-from-scratch philosophy and our food contains no additives, preservatives, artificial flavours or colours. Learn more here.

My name is Kalene Taylor, and I am the Centre Director for Sherwood Park. I have a Level 3 Child Care Certification from Lakeland College. I started working in child care 7 years ago and have been working at Kids & Company ever since. I am passionate about working in child care because I love to see children grow and develop; children are capable of doing everything they put their minds to. Kids & Company also offers endless opportunities for growth within the company, and I love working alongside my team! The centre is located in the heart of Sherwood Park and we have a great green space across the street that the children love to play and explore in.
Kids & Company’s Infant program welcomes newborns up to roughly 15 months. Infants learn about the world around them through their senses, so exploration is critical to their development. Nurturing educators support the children while they take in their surroundings, encouraging them to experience everything the classroom offers; be it creative art, exploring with blocks, listening to songs or engaging in story-time. Our infant program encourages children to follow their own established routines, while becoming comfortable and secure in a new group setting.
Kids & Company’s Toddler program is for children between the ages of roughly 15 months and 2.9 years. Toddlers are mobile and eager to explore their environment. As they strive for independence, our educators use an Emergent curriculum approach to learning that supports each child’s individuality. Some of the most important learning outcomes of our toddler program are language development, socialization, self-help skills, and the development of fine and gross motor skills.
Kids & Company’s Preschool program is designed for children between the ages of roughly 2.9 - 6 years. Our educators interact, observe and interpret the interests of our children to encourage discoveries. Our Preschool program provides a foundation for developing greater independence and problem-solving skills; the program integrates new concepts into our children’s world view, promotes sharing and mutual respect, and prepares them for Kindergarten.
