This location is in downtown St. Albert, with the nearest main intersection being St. Albert Trail and Sir Winston Churchill Ave. We’re on the first floor of the office building at 1 Tache St, with plenty of parking available for seamless pick-up and drop-off.
Our location is proudly endorsed by Eco-Healthy Child Care®, a program that partners with child care professionals to eliminate environmental hazards in early learning settings with the goal of protecting the health of children and staff.
There are 8 classrooms that can accommodate 99 children from 0 months to 12 years old. Children can join our Infant, Toddler, Preschool, or Kindergarten programs with the option of full-time or backup care. School Age children can attend our Summer Camp program while school is not in session.
Our bright and spacious classrooms feature large windows and plenty of toys that support our emergent curriculum and learn-through-play curriculum. Outside is a large playground with sunny and shady spots that we get to enjoy year-round.
Children are provided with a hot lunch and 3 snacks each day, catered by our Kidco Kitchen. The Kidco Kitchen is founded on a fresh-from-scratch philosophy and our food contains no additives, preservatives, artificial flavours or colours. Learn more here.
Starting April 1, 2025, parents enrolling children from birth to kindergarten in full-time care across the province will be eligible for a flat parent fee of $326.25 per month, or approximately $15 per day.
Subsidies are accepted in Alberta for families who qualify. Contact the Centre Director for more information.

My name is Sophiya Leyco, and I am the Director of Kids & Company St. Albert Grandin location. I studied Early Learning and Child Care at NorQuest College and began my journey with Kids & Company in 2025. I have been working in the child care field for 7 years, and my passion lies in nurturing children’s growth, supporting their development, and helping them discover their individual potential in a loving and supportive environment. I take great pride in being part of Kids & Company, as it fosters a collaborative, supportive atmosphere and upholds a mission that aligns perfectly with my own goal of making a positive impact on children’s lives. What makes our St. Albert Grandin centre unique is the way we celebrate each child’s milestones, learn through play, and build truly meaningful relationships with our families.
Kids & Company’s Infant program welcomes newborns up to roughly 15 months. Infants learn about the world around them through their senses, so exploration is critical to their development. Nurturing educators support the children while they take in their surroundings, encouraging them to experience everything the classroom offers; be it creative art, exploring with blocks, listening to songs or engaging in story-time. Our infant program encourages children to follow their own established routines, while becoming comfortable and secure in a new group setting.
Kids & Company’s Toddler program is for children between the ages of roughly 15 months and 2.9 years. Toddlers are mobile and eager to explore their environment. As they strive for independence, our educators use an Emergent curriculum approach to learning that supports each child’s individuality. Some of the most important learning outcomes of our toddler program are language development, socialization, self-help skills, and the development of fine and gross motor skills.
Kids & Company’s Preschool program is designed for children between the ages of roughly 2.9 - 6 years. Our educators interact, observe and interpret the interests of our children to encourage discoveries. Our Preschool program provides a foundation for developing greater independence and problem-solving skills; the program integrates new concepts into our children’s world view, promotes sharing and mutual respect, and prepares them for Kindergarten.
Kids & Company’s School Age program accepts children from 5 - 12 years old (Grade 1 - 6) and is available at select locations. Programs include Before and After School Care, School Break Programming, and Summer Camp. Classroom space exists for smaller groups to gather, and activities are designed to meet the needs of varying developmental levels, touching on arts, science, math, drama, imaginative play, and physical fitness. Educators are also available to provide academic support for children that wish to do their homework during After School Care.
