Excited to be a Grandmother!

As you might imagine, there are many reasons why I  decided to have eight children, but the biggest reason is because I simply love babies! I love babies to the point that I am drawn to and absolutely captivated everyday by any baby that I see. I guess you could say that I am the right woman to be in the child care business - babies and children are my passion.

Luckily for me, many years ago, I happened to meet a young man that also loved babies and we have been married for almost 30 years. Originally we actually wanted to have 10 children, but all of the hockey, football, dancing, and skating lessons dragged us down to the point that we decided that after 11 years of having children, we should stop at 8. At that point, we decided we would have to wait for our grandchildren to fulfill our baby passion!

One month ago, our first grandchild, Maclean Jeffrey Sopik arrived and he has rocked our world. Our entire family is obsessed with Baby Mac's every move, and we constantly fight for a cuddle. No doubt, he is one of the most anticipated and enthusiastically greeted newborns, with 4 grandparents, 6 uncles and 3 aunts in total. As it turns out, my husband and I, both baby-obsessed people, have children who have all turned out to share the same passion.

He has grown and changed so much in one month! We are looking forward to many more!
