This downtown location is situated near the corner of Queen and Spadina, right above the MEC store. Caregivers travelling by transit can easily access our Queen W. location by streetcar or subway, and commuters can park underground in our designated Kidco parking spots or on the street during pick-up and drop-off.
We can accommodate 137 children from 0 months to 6 years old in our Infant, Toddler, Preschool, and Kindergarten programs. This location offers full-time, part-time, and backup care.
We also offer a very unique feature, which is a designated co-working space exclusively for Kids & Company families! We have 4 desk spaces and a few seating areas that are available during our regular operating hours. Learn more about Kidco Work here.
At Kids & Company, we use an emergent curriculum and learn-through-play philosophy. This means classrooms are bright and full of educational toys that children can explore throughout the day. Rooms are also equipped with password-protected webcams to keep parents up to date on their child’s day anytime they are in the classroom. Inside the centre are big windows that let it plenty of natural light and connect to our private rooftop playground that has beautiful views of the city skyline.
Children are provided with a hot lunch and 3 snacks each day, catered by our Kidco Kitchen. The Kidco Kitchen is founded on a fresh-from-scratch philosophy and our food contains no additives, preservatives, artificial flavours or colours. Learn more here.

Meet the Director
My name is Pam Janes and I am the Director at the Kids & Company Queen West centre as well as one of our Toronto Area Directors. I am a recipient of an Early Childhood Education diploma from George Brown College and have over 16 years of child care experience. Outside the world of child care, I love spending time up north with my family which includes six nephews between the ages of 4-14 and my adorable dog! I also enjoy watching movies, reading and travelling. Now that you know a bit more about me, I would love to meet you! Kids & Company’s Infant program welcomes newborns up to roughly 15 months. Infants learn about the world around them through their senses, so exploration is critical to their development. Nurturing educators support the children while they take in their surroundings, encouraging them to experience everything the classroom offers; be it creative art, exploring with blocks, listening to songs or engaging in story-time. Our infant program encourages children to follow their own established routines, while becoming comfortable and secure in a new group setting.
Kids & Company’s Toddler program is for children between the ages of roughly 15 months and 2.9 years. Toddlers are mobile and eager to explore their environment. As they strive for independence, our educators use an Emergent curriculum approach to learning that supports each child’s individuality. Some of the most important learning outcomes of our toddler program are language development, socialization, self-help skills, and the development of fine and gross motor skills.
Kids & Company’s Preschool program is designed for children between the ages of roughly 2.9 - 6 years. Our educators interact, observe and interpret the interests of our children to encourage discoveries. Our Preschool program provides a foundation for developing greater independence and problem-solving skills; the program integrates new concepts into our children’s world view, promotes sharing and mutual respect, and prepares them for Kindergarten.
Kids & Company’s School Age program accepts children from 5 - 12 years old (Grade 1 - 6) and is available at select locations. Programs include Before and After School Care, School Break Programming, and Summer Camp. Classroom space exists for smaller groups to gather, and activities are designed to meet the needs of varying developmental levels, touching on arts, science, math, drama, imaginative play, and physical fitness. Educators are also available to provide academic support for children that wish to do their homework during After School Care.
