Our Stoney Creek location is just off the QEW at Fifty Rd. and conveniently located in a plaza with restaurants, a Metro, and retail stores. We are in the Winona neighbourhood which is easily accessible by car, with on-site parking to make drop-off and pick-up easy for parents and caregivers.
Our location is proudly endorsed by Eco-Healthy Child Care®, a program that partners with child care professionals to eliminate environmental hazards in early learning settings with the goal of protecting the health of children and staff.
We have 9 classrooms that can accommodate 131 children in our Infant, Toddler, and Preschool programs – available on a full-time, part-time, or backup care basis.
Our emergent curriculum and learn-through-play philosophy allow children to explore their interests while being guided by Early Childhood Educators. Rooms are fully equipped with educational toys as well as password-protected webcams so that parents can keep up to date on their child’s day.
We also have a gross motor room that allows children to get active even when they’re not outside. At least once a day – while the weather permits – we bring children outside to our private rooftop playground that gets plenty of sunshine.
Children are provided with a hot lunch and 3 snacks each day, catered by our Kidco Kitchen. The Kidco Kitchen is founded on a fresh-from-scratch philosophy and our food contains no additives, preservatives, artificial flavours or colours. Learn more here.

I am Damiana Soares, the Centre Director of Kids & Company Stoney Creek. I attended Sheridan College, where I received a diploma in Early Childhood Education. I began my child care career at Kids & Company in 2018. I love working with children because I love contributing to their growth, and enjoy making a difference in their lives. I also love to see how proud they are when they reach a new milestone! Each day, the Kids & Company team works diligently to provide superior nurturing and educational early learning environment for children to play, discover and grow. The Kids & Company Stoney Creek is unique because it is a new centre in Stoney Creek that comes with spacious classroom and has tones of natural light coming through the big windows.
Kids & Company’s Infant program welcomes newborns up to roughly 15 months. Infants learn about the world around them through their senses, so exploration is critical to their development. Nurturing educators support the children while they take in their surroundings, encouraging them to experience everything the classroom offers; be it creative art, exploring with blocks, listening to songs or engaging in story-time. Our infant program encourages children to follow their own established routines, while becoming comfortable and secure in a new group setting.
Kids & Company’s Preschool program is designed for children between the ages of roughly 2.9 - 6 years. Our educators interact, observe and interpret the interests of our children to encourage discoveries. Our Preschool program provides a foundation for developing greater independence and problem-solving skills; the program integrates new concepts into our children’s world view, promotes sharing and mutual respect, and prepares them for Kindergarten.
Kids & Company’s Toddler program is for children between the ages of roughly 15 months and 2.9 years. Toddlers are mobile and eager to explore their environment. As they strive for independence, our educators use an Emergent curriculum approach to learning that supports each child’s individuality. Some of the most important learning outcomes of our toddler program are language development, socialization, self-help skills, and the development of fine and gross motor skills.
