This Massachusetts location is in the East Walpole neighborhood, near Bird Park and the intersection of Washington St. and Union St. We are situated within the Saint Mary’s Parish building and have a parking lot that parents can use during pick-up and drop-off. We also are within walking distance of an MBTA bus stop (from the Gillette and Norwood train stations) for families travelling by transit.
Previously Sunshine Country Day, this location is a staple in the community, caring for families across multiple generations. Once you enter the building, you’ll be welcomed into a large entryway with tall ceilings. Further are colorful classrooms filled with educational and age-appropriate toys. Outside we have 2 playgrounds that are fenced-in and equipped with structures and toys that engage children in developmentally appropriate physical activity. We also have the chance to take walks in Bird Park across the street on good weather days!
Our 12 classrooms can accommodate 119 children in our Infant, Toddler, and Preschool programs, which are available on a full-time basis.
At Kids & Company, we use an emergent curriculum and learn-through-play philosophy. This means children are presented with learning opportunities in direct response to their individual interests and skills. Our children are immersed in experiences that enhance language, literacy, a sense of music and rhythm, and socialization so that they may develop independence, confidence and a positive sense of self and the world around them.
Children are provided with a hot lunch and 3 snacks each day, catered by our in-house Kidco Kitchen. The Kidco Kitchen is founded on a fresh-from-scratch philosophy and our food contains no additives, preservatives, artificial flavours or colours. Learn more here.

Hello! I’m Courtney Bravo, the Center Director of Walpole North. I have an Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education from Fisher College. I have been working in child care since 2006. I love working with children and enjoy teaching them process art and kindness. My center was acquired by Kids & Company in August 2022. I enjoy all the relationships amongst Kids & Company staff; everyone is welcoming and friendly. Walpole is a very tight-knit town — everyone knows everyone! We are lucky to be across from Bird Park and have access to a great area for walks with the children.
Kids & Company’s Infant program welcomes newborns up to roughly 18 months. Infants learn about the world around them through their senses, so exploration is critical to their development. Nurturing educators support the children while they take in their surroundings, encouraging them to experience everything the classroom offers; be it creative art, exploring with blocks, listening to songs or engaging in story-time. Our infant program encourages children to follow their own established routines, while becoming comfortable and secure in a new group setting.
Kids & Company’s Toddler program is for children between the ages of roughly 18 months and 2.5 years. Toddlers are mobile and eager to explore their environment. As they strive for independence, our educators use an Emergent curriculum approach to learning that supports each child’s individuality. Some of the most important learning outcomes of our toddler program are language development, socialization, self-help skills, and the development of fine and gross motor skills.
Kids & Company’s Preschool program is designed for children between the ages of roughly 2.5 - 5 years. Our educators interact, observe and interpret the interests of our children to encourage discoveries. Our Preschool program provides a foundation for developing greater independence and problem-solving skills; the program integrates new concepts into our children’s world view, promotes sharing and mutual respect, and prepares them for Kindergarten.
