We are located in a quiet neighbourhood not far from the intersection of Brock St. N and Dundas St. W. You’ll find our on-site parking makes drop-off and pick-up easy for parents and caregivers.

We offer Infant, Toddler, Preschool, and Kindergarten of full-time, part-time, or backup care.
Our 5 classrooms are brightly coloured and spacious with large windows that let plenty of light in, and each room is equipped with a webcam that caregivers can access throughout the day. Our large playground provides ample space for gross-motor games year-round.
Children are provided with a hot lunch and 3 snacks each day, catered by our Kidco Kitchen. The Kidco Kitchen is founded on a fresh-from-scratch philosophy and our food contains no additives, preservatives, artificial flavours or colours. Learn more here.

My name is Abby Cadieux and I am the Director at the Kids & Company Whitby centre. I have been in the child care field for over 20 years and am a recipient of an Early Childhood Education degree. Parents sometimes ask when I knew I wanted to be a child care professional. When I was a small child I always set up my bedroom like a classroom. I had all of my dolls and stuffed animals set up in chairs, ready to learn. I guess it’s easy to see why I chose this career! Beyond the world of child care, I have two school age children – Brady and Brooke – who keep my husband and I busy with swimming, gymnastics and hockey. When I’m not at an arena or pool, I enjoy playing baseball and curling. I also enjoy being at the cottage relaxing. Kids & Company’s Infant program welcomes newborns up to roughly 15 months. Infants learn about the world around them through their senses, so exploration is critical to their development. Nurturing educators support the children while they take in their surroundings, encouraging them to experience everything the classroom offers; be it creative art, exploring with blocks, listening to songs or engaging in story-time. Our infant program encourages children to follow their own established routines, while becoming comfortable and secure in a new group setting.
Kids & Company’s Toddler program is for children between the ages of roughly 15 months and 2.9 years. Toddlers are mobile and eager to explore their environment. As they strive for independence, our educators use an Emergent curriculum approach to learning that supports each child’s individuality. Some of the most important learning outcomes of our toddler program are language development, socialization, self-help skills, and the development of fine and gross motor skills.
Kids & Company’s Preschool program is designed for children between the ages of roughly 2.9 - 6 years. Our educators interact, observe and interpret the interests of our children to encourage discoveries. Our Preschool program provides a foundation for developing greater independence and problem-solving skills; the program integrates new concepts into our children’s world view, promotes sharing and mutual respect, and prepares them for Kindergarten.
