This Massachusetts location is in the Abington neighborhood, near the intersection of North Ave. and Bedford St. We are in a standalone building surrounded by residential homes and have ample parking for pick-up and drop-off. We are about 2 miles from the Abington T station, making this location suitable for families who travel by car.
Once you walk inside, you’ll notice a large and welcoming entranceway. Each of our spacious classrooms has bright colors, lots of natural light, and plenty of educational and age-appropriate toys.
Outside is a large fenced-in playground that is far from the street and surrounded by trees. There are separate sections for children who are just learning gross motor skills, and those who are actively running, jumping and climbing. Some of the children’s favorite toys include bikes, balance beams, building blocks, and hopscotch.
Our location is proudly endorsed by Eco-Healthy Child Care®, a program that partners with child care professionals to eliminate environmental hazards in early learning settings with the goal of protecting the health of children and staff.
We have 8 classrooms that can accommodate 82 children from 6 weeks to 6 years old. The Infant, Toddler, and Preschool programs are available on a full-time care basis.
At Kids & Company, we use an emergent curriculum and learn-through-play philosophy. This means children are presented with learning opportunities in direct response to their individual interests and skills. Our children are immersed in experiences that enhance language, literacy, a sense of music and rhythm, and socialization so that they may develop independence, confidence and a positive sense of self and the world around them.
Children are provided with breakfast, lunch, and 2 snacks each day, catered by our in-house Kidco Kitchen. The Kidco Kitchen is founded on a fresh-from-scratch philosophy and our food contains no additives, preservatives, artificial flavors or colors. Learn more here.

Hello, my name is Robin Purtell and I am the Center Director for Kids & Company’s Abington location. I started my career with Kids & Company in February 2022 and I have been working in the child care industry for over 10 years. I knew that this was the right career for me as I have always appreciated and loved watching children learn and grow in a fun, safe environment. Our center is well known in the town of Abington. We have a very strong sense of community and diversity, and we take pride in the care we provide for not only our children at the center, but the community all around. I was so excited to start my career at Kids and Company when I saw what a great, family-oriented, supportive and open community it was. Kids & Company’s Infant program welcomes newborns up to roughly 15 months. Infants learn about the world around them through their senses, so exploration is critical to their development. Nurturing educators support the children while they take in their surroundings, encouraging them to experience everything the classroom offers; be it creative art, exploring with blocks, listening to songs or engaging in story-time. Our infant program encourages children to follow their own established routines, while becoming comfortable and secure in a new group setting.
Kids & Company’s Toddler program is for children between the ages of roughly 15 months and 2.9 years. Toddlers are mobile and eager to explore their environment. As they strive for independence, our educators use an Emergent curriculum approach to learning that supports each child’s individuality. Some of the most important learning outcomes of our toddler program are language development, socialization, self-help skills, and the development of fine and gross motor skills.
Kids & Company’s Preschool program is designed for children between the ages of roughly 2.9 - 6 years. Our educators interact, observe and interpret the interests of our children to encourage discoveries. Our Preschool program provides a foundation for developing greater independence and problem-solving skills; the program integrates new concepts into our children’s world view, promotes sharing and mutual respect, and prepares them for Kindergarten.
