Meet the Director
My name is Julianne Daley and I am the Director at the Kids & Company Hamilton centre. I have been working at Kids & Company since 2006, and have over 10 years of experience in the child care field. I am a recipient of an Early Childhood Education diploma with Honours from Mohawk College and am registered with the College of Early Childhood Educators. I am also a certified Educational Assistant. In my spare time, I enjoy family game nights, swimming, camping, travelling, singing, and planning special events. Some of my hobbies include mechanics, construction, creative arts, cake decorating, photography and hip-hop/ballroom dancing. I am also a licensed Zumba instructor! In my philosophy, I feel we all learn from everyday experiences, as do our children. I think it is necessary to provide a stimulating learning environment for our children to thrive in. I always say that the best thing to spend on your children is time. As Early Childhood Educators and parents, we should take the time to have fun, teach, guide and build healthy relationships with our children, while remembering we are all children at heart! As a Director at Kids & Company, I can partake in every aspect of the parent-teacher-child relationship and know that together we are building a happy and healthy future for our children. Now that you know a bit more about me, it would be my pleasure to meet you and give you a tour of our Hamilton centre. Come see for yourself how Kids & Company can provide quality care and education for your child.
Kids & Company’s Infant program welcomes newborns up to roughly 15 months. Infants learn about the world around them through their senses, so exploration is critical to their development. Nurturing educators support the children while they take in their surroundings, encouraging them to experience everything the classroom offers; be it creative art, exploring with blocks, listening to songs or engaging in story-time. Our infant program encourages children to follow their own established routines, while becoming comfortable and secure in a new group setting.
Kids & Company’s Toddler program is for children between the ages of roughly 15 months and 2.9 years. Toddlers are mobile and eager to explore their environment. As they strive for independence, our educators use an Emergent curriculum approach to learning that supports each child’s individuality. Some of the most important learning outcomes of our toddler program are language development, socialization, self-help skills, and the development of fine and gross motor skills.
Kids & Company’s Preschool program is designed for children between the ages of roughly 2.9 - 6 years. Our educators interact, observe and interpret the interests of our children to encourage discoveries. Our Preschool program provides a foundation for developing greater independence and problem-solving skills; the program integrates new concepts into our children’s world view, promotes sharing and mutual respect, and prepares them for Kindergarten.
