We are located in the Aberdeen neighbourhood of Kamloops which is easily accessible by car or transit. Our site is in the back corner of the City View Centre Shopping Mall at the intersection of Princeton Kamloops Highway (Highway 5A) and Rogers Way. There are multiple bus routes nearby as well as a few 15-minute parking spots for parents travelling by car.
Our location is proudly endorsed by Eco-Healthy Child Care®, a program that partners with child care professionals to eliminate environmental hazards in early learning settings with the goal of protecting the health of children and staff.
We have 5 big and bright classrooms that can accommodate 60 children. Our Infant, Toddler, and Preschool programs are available on a full-time, part-time and backup care basis.
At Kids & Company, we use an emergent curriculum and learn-through-play philosophy. This means classrooms are equipped with educational toys and Early Childhood Educators are readily guiding children as interests emerge. Classrooms also have password-protected webcams to keep parents up to date on their child’s day. Outside is a fenced play area with black spongy flooring, shady spots, and water toys for the warm weather.
Children are provided with a hot lunch and 3 snacks each day, catered by our on-site kitchen. The Kidco Kitchen is founded on a fresh-from-scratch philosophy and our food contains no additives, preservatives, artificial flavours or colours. Learn more here.

Meet the Director
My name is Laura Carson and I am the Centre Director at Kids & Company Kamloops. I have a diploma in Early Childhood Education, and I also specialize in Special Needs Education. I have been in the child care industry for almost 30 years, and have been working with Kids & Company since 2003. Since I was young, I’ve loved working with children and when growing up, I was the neighbourhood babysitter. I was introduced to Early Childhood Education by a professor and knew instantly that this was the perfect career for me. I am a proud, single mom of two boys who are all grown up! I recently moved to British Columbia from Ontario, and the Kids & Company Kamloops centre has been so welcoming and warm, making it a smooth and easy transition for me. I can guarantee you will get the same warm welcoming I received when you first join our Kamloops family. Kids & Company has always felt like a family to me. You can always count on Kids & Company to be flexible and accommodating when you’re in need of child care. The Kamloops team and I are here to support you and your family.
Kids & Company’s Infant program welcomes newborns up to roughly 15 months. Infants learn about the world around them through their senses, so exploration is critical to their development. Nurturing educators support the children while they take in their surroundings, encouraging them to experience everything the classroom offers; be it creative art, exploring with blocks, listening to songs or engaging in story-time. Our infant program encourages children to follow their own established routines, while becoming comfortable and secure in a new group setting.
Kids & Company’s Toddler program is for children between the ages of roughly 15 months and 2.9 years. Toddlers are mobile and eager to explore their environment. As they strive for independence, our educators use an Emergent curriculum approach to learning that supports each child’s individuality. Some of the most important learning outcomes of our toddler program are language development, socialization, self-help skills, and the development of fine and gross motor skills.
Kids & Company’s Preschool program is designed for children between the ages of roughly 2.9 - 6 years. Our educators interact, observe and interpret the interests of our children to encourage discoveries. Our Preschool program provides a foundation for developing greater independence and problem-solving skills; the program integrates new concepts into our children’s world view, promotes sharing and mutual respect, and prepares them for Kindergarten.
