This Victoria Island location is in the Uptown Mall plaza near the intersection of Douglas St. and Saanich St. We are located in the Uptown neighbourhood that is easily accessible by car or transit, and have plenty of on-site parking for pick-up and drop-off.
Our location is proudly endorsed by Eco-Healthy Child Care®, a program that partners with child care professionals to eliminate environmental hazards in early learning settings with the goal of protecting the health of children and staff.
Our 10 classrooms can accommodate 133 children from newborn to 5 years old. We offer Infant, Toddler and Preschool programs with the option of full-time, part-time, or backup care.
Inside we have big windows that let in natural light to our spacious rooms. We also have a resource room and a small teacher’s library to inspire creative and enriching activities for the children. Outside is a rooftop playground with a rubber floor, sunshades, a garden area and plenty of fun toys.
At Kids & Company, we use an emergent curriculum and learn-through-play philosophy. This means classrooms are equipped with educational toys and Early Childhood Educators are there to readily guide children as their interests emerge. Classrooms are also equipped with password-protected webcams that parents can access throughout the day.
Children are provided with a hot lunch and 3 snacks each day, catered by our Kidco Kitchen. The Kidco Kitchen is founded on a fresh-from-scratch philosophy and our food contains no additives, preservatives, artificial flavours or colours. Learn more here.

My name is Yeome (Chloe) Kim, and I am the Co-Director at Kids & Company Victoria. I attended Chongshin University in South Korea where I received my Bachelor of Child Studies. I also went to the University of Victoria and obtained a Diploma in Business Administration. I have been working in child care for about 5 years, and I have been working with Kids & Company since 2020. I like to mentor children and watch them grow to become better people in the future. My main aim in working in the child care field is to positively impact children both physically and emotionally. I enjoy working at Kids & Company as it provides an environment where both the teachers and children can thrive.
My name is Jihye Kim, and I am the Co-Director at Kids & Company Victoria. I attended Suksung University in South Korea where I received my BA in Human Development and Family Studies and BA in Psychology. I have been working in child care for about 6 years, and have been working with Kids & Company since 2018. I love being around children; they make me laugh, learn, and grow while listening to their stories, and watching them explore. I love helping them discover themselves and reach their full potential. I really like working at Kids & Company as I have great colleagues and a wonderful supervisor. We are proud to have multicultural staff and families here at the Victoria location. We try our best to build an inclusive program and a community.
Kids & Company’s Infant program welcomes newborns up to roughly 15 months. Infants learn about the world around them through their senses, so exploration is critical to their development. Nurturing educators support the children while they take in their surroundings, encouraging them to experience everything the classroom offers; be it creative art, exploring with blocks, listening to songs or engaging in story-time. Our infant program encourages children to follow their own established routines, while becoming comfortable and secure in a new group setting.
Kids & Company’s Toddler program is for children between the ages of roughly 15 months and 2.9 years. Toddlers are mobile and eager to explore their environment. As they strive for independence, our educators use an Emergent curriculum approach to learning that supports each child’s individuality. Some of the most important learning outcomes of our toddler program are language development, socialization, self-help skills, and the development of fine and gross motor skills.
Kids & Company’s Preschool program is designed for children between the ages of roughly 2.9 - 6 years. Our educators interact, observe and interpret the interests of our children to encourage discoveries. Our Preschool program provides a foundation for developing greater independence and problem-solving skills; the program integrates new concepts into our children’s world view, promotes sharing and mutual respect, and prepares them for Kindergarten.
