Our Kids & Company Victoria centre is located near Uptown Mall at Douglas and Saanich Street. We have 7 classrooms and can accommodate up to 84 children. Our centre is always filled with smiling faces, both from our children and our fantastic staff. It is a place where learning is equally fun as it is enriching, and where we take both pleasure and pride in seeing each child grown and transition through our programs.
Subsidies are accepted in British Columbia for families who qualify. Contact the Centre Director or click here for more information
My name is Grace Louis and I am the Director at the Kids & Company Victoria centre. I have been working at Kids & Company since December 2012, and am the recipient of an Early Childhood Education Diploma with an Infant and Toddler Specialization and a Certificate in Special Needs Education from Algonquin College in Ottawa. I also have a joint Bachelor of Psychology and Music from the University of Waterloo. I have been working with children for over 25 years. In 2012 my husband, son and I moved from Ontario to Victoria, British Columbia with every intention to settle down and retire; however, it wasn’t long before I found myself missing being with children and “retired” from retirement! To give you a few fun facts about myself, I am passionate about music. I spend my Saturday afternoons playing piano at a local ballet school and I am a qualified piano teacher. I also am interested in digital photography, reading, going for walks outdoors, participating in local community events, and spending time with my son, Justin. Now that you know a bit more about me, I would love to meet you! I hope you come visit our Victoria centre and see for yourself how Kids & Company can provide the right care and education for your child.
At Kids & Company, we work with your family to ensure that the transition is a smooth one. Before your child’s first day, we’ll provide information on what to expect. We’ll create an integration schedule that is right for your child and every day that your child is in the classroom, you’ll receive a daily report that lets you know how your child’s day was. You’ll also be able to see him or her on our in classroom web cameras. The Centre Director will even send you an email before the end of the day if your child has a special “wow” moment that day.
Toddlers learn best in the context of relationships within small groups. There are fewer distractions and children’s activities are more focused. In Kids & Company toddler classrooms, our small groups allow very young children to make connections, form caring relationships, and learn to understand other children.
All two-year-olds examine everything they see, hear, feel and observe in an attempt to make sense of the world around them. In our preschool programs, Kids & Company teachers interact, observe and interpret the interests of preschool students to encourage further discoveries by planning activities and investigations that expand your child’s learning.
Kids & Company develops and fosters the potential in every child through an enriched, nurturing and safe early learning environment. At Kids & Company we believe in learning through play.
Kids & Company runs comprehensive kindergarten programs designed for children who are 4 or 5 years old (junior and senior kindergarten age) to prepare them for Grade 1. Using emergent curriculum techniques to adapt to the children’s’ interests and skills, we set a foundation of early literacy, numeracy, artistry, and the construction of relationships and ideas. Kindergarten programs are integrated into full-time child care to provide convenience and continuity.
For the time being, our in-centre birthday party and other live events will temporarily not be available. If you require any information on future bookings or have any questions, please reach out to Christie atcwhite@kidsandcompany.com
