Our location is conveniently located Northeast of Clappison’s Corner (Dundas St. E and Clappison Ave) in a quiet plaza. We have ample parking for drop-off and pick-up and we are a short walk from the nearest bus stop.
Our location is proudly endorsed by Eco-Healthy Child Care®, a program that partners with child care professionals to eliminate environmental hazards in early learning settings with the goal of protecting the health of children and staff.
Our location can accommodate 104 children in the Infant, Toddler, and Preschool programs on a full-time or backup care basis.
We have 7 classrooms with large windows allowing for lots of light to brighten our days. Each room also has a webcam that caregivers can access any day their child is in the classroom. There is also a gated and private outdoor play area, segmented for each age group and full of great toys.
Children are provided with a hot lunch and 3 snacks each day, catered by our Kidco Kitchen. The Kidco Kitchen is founded on a fresh-from-scratch philosophy and our food contains no additives, preservatives, artificial flavours or colours. Learn more here.

My name is Taylor Johnson, and I am the Centre Director of Waterdown. I have an Early Child Care Educator Degree and a CDP Diploma from Mohawk College. I have been a part of Kids & Company since 2020 and have 15 years of experience in the child care field. My passion lies in creating a safe, loving, and nurturing environment for children. Witnessing their absorption of information and growth throughout the years while educating them brings me immense joy. I greatly value Kids & Company’s curriculum and learning platforms as they play a vital role in the children’s success under our care. Our team comprises diverse individuals with a wealth of ideas to share and implement in our classrooms. We are a dedicated and hardworking team committed to providing the highest quality care for every child at our centre.
Kids & Company’s Toddler program is for children between the ages of roughly 15 months and 2.9 years. Toddlers are mobile and eager to explore their environment. As they strive for independence, our educators use an Emergent curriculum approach to learning that supports each child’s individuality. Some of the most important learning outcomes of our toddler program are language development, socialization, self-help skills, and the development of fine and gross motor skills.
Kids & Company’s Preschool program is designed for children between the ages of roughly 2.9 - 6 years. Our educators interact, observe and interpret the interests of our children to encourage discoveries. Our Preschool program provides a foundation for developing greater independence and problem-solving skills; the program integrates new concepts into our children’s world view, promotes sharing and mutual respect, and prepares them for Kindergarten.
Kids & Company’s Infant program welcomes newborns up to roughly 15 months. Infants learn about the world around them through their senses, so exploration is critical to their development. Nurturing educators support the children while they take in their surroundings, encouraging them to experience everything the classroom offers; be it creative art, exploring with blocks, listening to songs or engaging in story-time. Our infant program encourages children to follow their own established routines, while becoming comfortable and secure in a new group setting.
