Our Kids & Company Winnipeg centre is conveniently located in Winnipeg’s downtown core and within walking distance of The Forks. Our centre is bright and beautiful with large windows in all of the classrooms, creating a warm and nurturing environment. Our infant and preschool playgrounds are great outdoor spaces where the children can play and practice their Munchkinetics physical activity program. The forks are within walking distance and great for our infant stroller walks — the children love to visit the ducks! We also have the pleasure of having a fantastic on-site chef, Ashley, who not only provides healthy and delicious meals to our children but also teaches them about the preparation process and fundamentals of healthy eating.
We have both front and back parking available for the families and staff.
Meet The Director
My name is Galina Sokolsky, and I am the Director of Kids & Company’s Winnipeg location. I have a Bachelor’s in Behavioural Science and a degree in Early Child Program Management. I started with Kids & Company in March 2019 and have worked in child care since 2008. Since high school, I knew that child care was my passion and what I wanted to do as a career. In my spare time, I like to travel, cook, bake, visit family and friends and play board games with my daughters and my husband.
What I love most about the Winnipeg centre is that we have a fantastic team of educators. The staff members are always willing to help each other and the environment is fun and relaxed. As a team, we work together to ensure every child’s unique needs are met. The educators truly love what they do and have great communication, interpersonal and teamwork skills. Our centre is bright and has lots of natural light, which creates a warm and nurturing environment.

At Kids & Company, we work with your family to ensure that the transition is a smooth one. Before your child’s first day, we’ll provide information on what to expect. We’ll create an integration schedule that is right for your child and every day that your child is in the classroom, you’ll receive a daily report that lets you know how your child’s day was. You’ll also be able to see him or her on our in classroom web cameras. The Centre Director will even send you an email before the end of the day if your child has a special “wow” moment that day.
Toddlers learn best in the context of relationships within small groups. There are fewer distractions and children’s activities are more focused. In Kids & Company toddler classrooms, our small groups allow very young children to make connections, form caring relationships, and learn to understand other children.
All two-year-olds examine everything they see, hear, feel and observe in an attempt to make sense of the world around them. In our preschool programs, Kids & Company teachers interact, observe and interpret the interests of preschool students to encourage further discoveries by planning activities and investigations that expand your child’s learning.

Kids & Company runs comprehensive kindergarten programs designed for children who are 4 or 5 years old (junior and senior kindergarten age) to prepare them for Grade 1. Using emergent curriculum techniques to adapt to the children’s’ interests and skills, we set a foundation of early literacy, numeracy, artistry, and the construction of relationships and ideas. Kindergarten programs are integrated into full-time child care to provide convenience and continuity.
