Winnipeg

Our Centre

Our Kids & Company Winnipeg centre is conveniently located in Winnipeg’s downtown core and within walking distance of The Forks. The Forks are great for our infant stroller walks — the children love to visit the ducks! We also have the pleasure of having a fantastic on-site chef who not only provides healthy and delicious meals to our children but also teaches them about the preparation process and fundamentals of healthy eating. Our centre is bright and beautiful with large windows in all of the classrooms, creating a warm and nurturing environment. Our infant and preschool playgrounds are great outdoor spaces where the children can play and get physical activity. The centre has a capacity of 80 children and can accommodate Infants to Kindergarten children aged 6.

Meet the Director

My name is Navdeep Kaur Brar, and I am the Centre Director of the Kids & Company Winnipeg location. I have a degree in Early Childhood Education from Georgian College, Orillia, Ontario. I started with Kids & Company in September 2019 and have been working in child care for 3 years. I am passionate about working in child care because I enjoy spending time with children and appreciate their unique personalities and the way they grow every single day. Kids & Company is s a highly respected company. It provides high-quality care to the children and gives them a range of unique experiences and interactions to reach their optimal growth and development. Kids & Company provides a holistic approach to education through proprietary and emergent programming. It is located in the centre of Winnipeg which is easily accessible for families. Last but not least, it is within walking distance from one of the historical places in Manitoba, “The Forks,” where we often take the children for a walk.

Programs Offered

Kids & Company’s Infant program welcomes newborns up to roughly 18 months. Infants learn about the world around them through their senses, so exploration is critical to their development. Nurturing educators support the children while they take in their surroundings, encouraging them to experience everything the classroom offers; be it creative art, exploring with blocks, listening to songs or engaging in story-time. Our infant program encourages children to follow their own established routines, while becoming comfortable and secure in a new group setting.

Kids & Company’s Toddler program is for children between the ages of roughly 18 months and 2.5 years. Toddlers are mobile and eager to explore their environment. As they strive for independence, our educators use an Emergent curriculum approach to learning that supports each child’s individuality. Some of the most important learning outcomes of our toddler program are language development, socialization, self-help skills, and the development of fine and gross motor skills.
