Father’s Day!

The Flowers are out, the birds are chirping, summer has arrived and it’s time to celebrate Father’s day! Father’s Day is this Sunday June 14th and it’s time to honour all the Fathers and Fatherly figures for all that they bring to our families. At Kids & Company we want to make sure all of our Kidco Dads feel extra special. From June 9th – June 13th all of our Kids & Company locations across the country will be hosting a special Father’s Day celebration, to remind our Dads just how special they are. Make sure to check with your Site Director for the specific date if you have not done so already.

I’m sure we’re all trying to come up with ideas to celebrate the hard work of our Dads!  With FIFA World cup starting Thursday why not have the kids make a Flag or T-shirt for Dad supporting his favourite tea?! All you’ll need is a plain T-shirt, some fabric paint and whatever other craft supplies you want.

Now, what’s the best gift you can give Dad on Father's Day? A full (and satisfied!) stomach of course. If the weather allows it set up an outdoor dinner, with a table cloth and fun plates and glasses.  This Father’s day Kidco Kitchen suggests you and your kids create our Kidco Mini Sliders at home with either ground beef, ground turkey, or veggie burger! If you want to kick it up, try this delicious BBQ sauce recipe. It will become your new summer favourite add on, so we suggest you make extra!

For dessert why not bring the kids into the kitchen to create a very special Tie Cake! You can customize these anyway you like, and make them as fancy or simple as you want. Betty Crocker’s website gives great instructions on how to create this awesome dessert! Click here to find out!
