Kidco Kitchen Vanilla Chia Pudding

Spring has sprung and so has the launch of our Spring Menu Featured Recipes! We are SO excited to share some family sized recipes with you and your little ones!  One of our favourite new additions to the Spring Menu is our Vanilla Chia Pudding.   This seasons’ featured recipes are yummy meals and snacks we are serving your kids at our centers.  Exposing them to a large variety of foods at a young age is a great way to lead them down the path to a healthy lifestyle.  Try serving some of these dishes at home to grow their taste buds!

Chia seeds are abundant in iron, fiber, protein, and are a great way to make any meal more interesting.  They are also an amazing blood-sugar stabilizer because they are one of the richest sources of omega-2 fatty acids.  Try adding chia seeds to oatmeal, yogurt or smoothies in the morning to help keep you and your family satisfied until lunch!  They can fill you up and give you the energy you need to carry on with your day.  Also, the vegans reading this probably already know that chia seeds are an excellent supplement for eggs when baking!!
