This location is situated near the Calgary International Airport, just east of the Thorncliffe and Huntington Hills neighbourhoods.
Our location is proudly endorsed by Eco-Healthy Child Care®, a program that partners with child care professionals to eliminate environmental hazards in early learning settings with the goal of protecting the health of children and staff.
Our cozy centre has 6 classrooms that accommodate 56 children from 12 months to 6 years old. Children can join our Infant, Toddler, Preschool and Kindergarten programs on a full-time or backup care basis.
Each classroom is equipped with password-protected webcams and toys that support our emergent curriculum and learn-through-play philosophy. Parents appreciate the large windows that bring in natural light and allow children to see mom or dad arriving at pick-up. At the back of the building is a playground that gets lots of shade and is surrounded by trees.
Children are provided with a hot lunch and 3 snacks each day, catered by our Kidco Kitchen. The Kidco Kitchen is founded on a fresh-from-scratch philosophy and our food contains no additives, preservatives, artificial flavours or colours. Learn more here.

Meet the Director
My name is Levenia Buendia (friends call me Levy) and I am the Director at the Kids & Company Aviation Crossing centre. I hold a Bachelor of Education and have been working in child care for over 5 years. I was very excited to join with Kids & Company in 2013 because of the strong reputation, family-focused culture and support from an established team. I have two teenage girls and our family loves to cook (and eat!), watch movies, bake and keep active. My favourite sport to play is badminton. The things I love about the Aviation Crossing centre are the supportive and cooperative staff, our connection with the families, and of course our happy kids! We focus on high-quality care, having fun and working together to create a great learning environment. Now that you know a bit about me, I would love to meet you and your family! Kids & Company’s Infant program welcomes newborns up to roughly 15 months. Infants learn about the world around them through their senses, so exploration is critical to their development. Nurturing educators support the children while they take in their surroundings, encouraging them to experience everything the classroom offers; be it creative art, exploring with blocks, listening to songs or engaging in story-time. Our infant program encourages children to follow their own established routines, while becoming comfortable and secure in a new group setting.
Kids & Company’s Toddler program is for children between the ages of roughly 15 months and 2.9 years. Toddlers are mobile and eager to explore their environment. As they strive for independence, our educators use an Emergent curriculum approach to learning that supports each child’s individuality. Some of the most important learning outcomes of our toddler program are language development, socialization, self-help skills, and the development of fine and gross motor skills.
Kids & Company’s Preschool program is designed for children between the ages of roughly 2.9 - 6 years. Our educators interact, observe and interpret the interests of our children to encourage discoveries. Our Preschool program provides a foundation for developing greater independence and problem-solving skills; the program integrates new concepts into our children’s world view, promotes sharing and mutual respect, and prepares them for Kindergarten.
