The Cauliflower Craze

A low carb and gluten free diet doesn’t make one leap for joy in the same way a pizza, muffin, casserole, and tortilla diet would. But what if I told you these are one in the same?  Introducing the cauliflower! It is gluten free, low carb, and most importantly, can be used to make all of your favourite things such as pizzas, muffins, tortillas, and casseroles! Eating these cauliflower substitutes is a healthier alternative to traditional carbs, and a great substitute for those with gluten restrictions.

Don’t limit what you eat for fear of gluten or carbs, enjoy your healthy lifestyle with a cauliflower crust pizza! To make this magnificent meal and delicious dough, you’ll need: 1 head of cauliflower to be ground, 3/4 cup rice flour, 3 eggs, ½ teaspoon onion powder, ½ teaspoon garlic powder, 2-3 tablespoons parmesan cheese and lastly some garlic oil to coat the dough before baking. First, grind up your cauliflower head in a blender until mushy. Place the eggs with all of the other ingredients in a bowl and mix. Spread the dough on a baking sheet to about ¼ of an inch thick, brush the garlic oil on top, bake the crust for 15 minutes at 450F, then add your toppings and bake for another 10 minutes! Now you can have your cake and eat it too with this healthier take on pizza!
