The centre is located downtown in the Edmonton Tower at the intersection of 101 St NW and 104 Ave NW. Though we’re in the ICE District, being on the 4th floor gives us some respite from the hustle and bustle below. Parents working downtown find this is a convenient location, with underground parking available and transit stops nearby to make pick-up and drop-off stress-free.
Our location is proudly endorsed by Eco-Healthy Child Care®, a program that partners with child care professionals to eliminate environmental hazards in early learning settings with the goal of protecting the health of children and staff.
We have 8 classrooms that can accommodate up to 92 children ranging from 0 months to 5 years old. Children can join our Infant, Toddler, Preschool, or Kindergarten programs on a full-time, part-time, or backup care basis.
Each room is bright and sunny, and the hallways have huge windows looking into our learning spaces. Rooms are equipped with password-protected webcams and educational materials that support our emergent curriculum and learn-through-play philosophy. We also have a great outdoor terrace and playground which provides a picturesque view of the tall city skyscrapers and buildings nearby.
Children are provided with a hot lunch and 3 snacks each day, catered by our Kidco Kitchen. The Kidco Kitchen is founded on a fresh-from-scratch philosophy and our food contains no additives, preservatives, artificial flavours or colours. Learn more here.
Subsidies are accepted in Alberta for families who qualify. Contact the Centre Director for more information.

Meet the Director
My name is Ma Joy Salagubang, and I am the Centre Director of Edmonton Ice. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Secondary Education. I have been working in child care for more than 14 years. Working with children is something I adore doing. Seeing children develop, learn, and experience new things in the most fascinating ways makes me happy. I believe that as we train up a child in the way they should go, they will not depart from it when they grow old. Kids & Company is like a home—a place where love, joy, understanding, and support grow from each other’s hearts (teachers and staff). We are all working towards a great goal, and that is to shape the future generation.
Kids & Company’s Infant program welcomes newborns up to roughly 15 months. Infants learn about the world around them through their senses, so exploration is critical to their development. Nurturing educators support the children while they take in their surroundings, encouraging them to experience everything the classroom offers; be it creative art, exploring with blocks, listening to songs or engaging in story-time. Our infant program encourages children to follow their own established routines, while becoming comfortable and secure in a new group setting.
Kids & Company’s Toddler program is for children between the ages of roughly 15 months and 2.9 years. Toddlers are mobile and eager to explore their environment. As they strive for independence, our educators use an Emergent curriculum approach to learning that supports each child’s individuality. Some of the most important learning outcomes of our toddler program are language development, socialization, self-help skills, and the development of fine and gross motor skills.
Kids & Company’s Preschool program is designed for children between the ages of roughly 2.9 - 6 years. Our educators interact, observe and interpret the interests of our children to encourage discoveries. Our Preschool program provides a foundation for developing greater independence and problem-solving skills; the program integrates new concepts into our children’s world view, promotes sharing and mutual respect, and prepares them for Kindergarten.
Kids & Company’s School Age program accepts children from 5 - 12 years old (Grade 1 - 6) and is available at select locations. Programs include Before and After School Care, School Break Programming, and Summer Camp. Classroom space exists for smaller groups to gather, and activities are designed to meet the needs of varying developmental levels, touching on arts, science, math, drama, imaginative play, and physical fitness. Educators are also available to provide academic support for children that wish to do their homework during After School Care.
