Welcome to Kids & Company St. Dominic!

Kids & Company St. Dominic in northeast Edmonton is located inside St. Dominic Catholic Elementary School, just off of 144 Ave NW east of 66 St NW. We are close to transit, and caregivers traveling by car can park in the school’s lot for pick-up and drop-off.

Our location is proudly endorsed by Eco-Healthy Child Care®, a program that partners with child care professionals to eliminate environmental hazards in early learning settings with the goal of protecting the health of children and staff.

St. Dominic has 1 classroom that can accommodate 22 children from ages 5-12 that are enrolled in school from Kindergarten to Grade 6. Our program includes Before and After School care, School Break care, as well as Summer Camp. Before care is typically available between 6:30-9:00 AM, after care is between 3:30-6:00 PM, and School Break care is available during days off such as PD days and March Break but excludes national holidays. Summer Camp is available from about the end of June to the beginning of September.

Starting April 1, 2025, parents enrolling children from birth to kindergarten in full-time care across the province will be eligible for a flat parent fee of $326.25 per month, or approximately $15 per day.

Subsidies are accepted in Alberta for families who qualify. Contact the Centre Director for more information.

Meet the Director

I am Madhvi Kapahi, the Centre Director of Kids & Company St. Dominic. I have a Bachelor of Business, and I completed my Early Childhood Learning Certificate, while still currently pursuing my diploma in Early Childhood Learning. I have been working in child care for 4 years, and I have been working with Kids & Company since 2021. I originally began a career in accounting, but quickly changed my mind when I had my son. In my spare time, I enjoy dancing and doing yoga. Yoga is one of my favorite activities to do and teach. I like to do yoga everyday to build my strength and help me to stay active throughout the day. My favourite thing about the Kids & Company St. Dominic location is our curriculum approach and philosophy. It is also extremely diverse and an encouraging environment, where the children can learn through play. What makes our centre unique is our nurturing environment. Kids & Company is very inclusive and accommodating. We are always willing to support our families and staff in any way. Now that you know a little more about me, I hope to see you and your family soon!

Programs Offered

School Age
- Kids & Company’s School Age program accepts children from 5 - 12 years old (Grade 1 - 6) and is available at select locations. Programs include Before and After School Care, School Break Programming, and Summer Camp. Classroom space exists for smaller groups to gather, and activities are designed to meet the needs of varying developmental levels, touching on arts, science, math, drama, imaginative play, and physical fitness. Educators are also available to provide academic support for children that wish to do their homework during After School Care.
