Our Kids & Company Oakville Cornwall centre is located just a block away from the Oakville Go station. Our building and centre are part of a wonderful neighborhood, filled with walkways and huge trees. Whether we are collecting coloured leaves in the fall, playing with snow in the winter, or watching new plants bloom in spring, our children and teachers love exploring the beautiful area around our centre. A typical day at Oakville Cornwall includes unique Kids & Company programs such as Alpha Mania (pre-literacy and reading), Mini Masters (art) Munchkinetics (movement), Music and French. These programs encourage creativity, self-expression and our children absolutely love them! Although we have a wonderful building and location, it is the people inside that really make Oakville Cornwall a special place. We have an amazing team of teachers who work hard to establish a safe, educational and nurturing environment for our students and their families. We also think it’s very important that our families are with us every step of the way through constant communication and interaction. You are always involved in your children’s daily routines and milestones! Subsidies are accepted in Oakville. Contact the Centre Director for more information
Parking is convenient and right in front of our building. We're located in a plaza so there are multiple parking spots all around the centre.
Meet the Director
My name is Jasvir Kaur and I am the Centre Director at Kids & Company Cornwall, Oakville. I am a recipient of a Registered Early Childhood Education Diploma from Sheridan College and have been working at Kids & Company since 2016. When I was in high school, I knew I wanted to work in the child care field! I have got a nuclear family which is the centre of my Universe. We have a strong bond among us and that makes us a happy family. In my spare time, I enjoy cooking, going for walks and spending time with my family. My favourite things about our centre are the wonderful, welcoming and supportive staff, along with the very colourful rooms with large windows and natural lighting. As a Director at Kids & Company, I get to partake in every aspect of the parent-teacher-child relationship and know that together we are building a happy and healthy future for our children. Now that you know a bit more about me, I would love to meet you! I hope you come to visit our Oakville Cornwall centre and see for yourself how Kids & Company can provide the right care and education for your child. Kids & Company is a proud member of the Oakville Chamber of Commerce.
At Kids & Company, we work with your family to ensure that the transition is a smooth one. Before your child’s first day, we’ll provide information on what to expect. We’ll create an integration schedule that is right for your child and every day that your child is in the classroom, you’ll receive a daily report that lets you know how your child’s day was. You’ll also be able to see him or her on our in classroom web cameras. The Centre Director will even send you an email before the end of the day if your child has a special “wow” moment that day.
Toddlers learn best in the context of relationships within small groups. There are fewer distractions and children’s activities are more focused. In Kids & Company toddler classrooms, our small groups allow very young children to make connections, form caring relationships, and learn to understand other children.
All two-year-olds examine everything they see, hear, feel and observe in an attempt to make sense of the world around them. In our preschool programs, Kids & Company teachers interact, observe and interpret the interests of preschool students to encourage further discoveries by planning activities and investigations that expand your child’s learning.
Kids & Company runs comprehensive kindergarten programs designed for children who are 4 or 5 years old (junior and senior kindergarten age) to prepare them for Grade 1. Using emergent curriculum techniques to adapt to the children’s’ interests and skills, we set a foundation of early literacy, numeracy, artistry, and the construction of relationships and ideas. Kindergarten programs are integrated into full-time child care to provide convenience and continuity.
Select Kids & Company locations offer school age programming for children ages 6-12 (Grades 1 – 6). Whether you have a younger child attending a Kids & Company location and you’d like the convenience of picking up your children in the same location or you’d like a program that’s run by trusted educators, Kids & Company school age programs may be right for your child.
