Kids & Company named one of Canada’s 50 Best Managed Companies for 2013 by Deloitte

(MARCH 25, 2014 – TORONTO) – Kids & Company, the leading provider of corporate-sponsored child care, has been named one of Canada’s 50 Best Managed Companies for 2013 by Deloitte. “This tremendous honour would not be possible without the more than 1,400 Kids & Company staff across the country who work tirelessly to provide nurturing care to thousands of children every day,” said Co-founder and CEO Victoria Sopik. “To be recognized as the only child care company on the 2013 list in Canada is a prestigious distinction.” With the ongoing and growing support from corporate partners and the thousands of families who utilize the centres on a daily basis, Kids & Company has grown from one centre in 2002 in Toronto to 56 centres currently across the country, with more openings planned for the future. Kids & Company also expanded into U.S. in late 2013, opening its first American centre in Chicago. Kids & Company provides a unique child care model that includes guaranteed placement, no late fees, secure web cams and proprietary educational programs such as Alpha-Mania, Mini Masters and Munchkinetics. The company also takes pride in preparing daily fresh and healthy meals from the Kidco Kitchen. Established in 1993, Canada’s Best Managed Companies is a leading business awards program, recognizing excellence in Canadian-owned and -managed companies with revenues over $10 million. Best Managed companies exhibit a number of common attributes that have helped them create sustained growth. These attributes can be evenly classified among the three vital building blocks to sustainable growth: strategy, capability, and commitment. Program sponsors are Deloitte, CIBC, National Post, Queen’s School of Business and MacKay CEO Forums.
