Our location is located on the first floor of an office building at Yonge Street and Finch Ave. The Finch subway station exits right outside of the building, and there is parking at the back of the building for easy drop-off and pick-up.
Our location is proudly endorsed by Eco-Healthy Child Care®, a program that partners with child care professionals to eliminate environmental hazards in early learning settings with the goal of protecting the health of children and staff.
We have 5 classrooms that can accommodate 59 children. We offer Infant, Toddler, Preschool and Kindergarten programs with the option of full-time or backup care. Each classroom is filled with bright colours, natural sunlight and the smiling faces of both our children and teachers. Classrooms also have webcams which allow caregivers to keep up to date on their child’s day. Our outdoor playground is situated in a beautiful area in the building’s courtyard, surrounded by plenty of trees and gardens.
We provide our children with a hot lunch and 3 snacks each day, catered by our Kidco Kitchen. The Kidco Kitchen is founded on a fresh-from-scratch philosophy and our food contains no additives, preservatives, artificial flavours or colours. Learn more here.
Let’s Meet!
If you’re interested in our Finch location, please fill out the inquiry form below. You can indicate multiple locations in the comment section if you are unsure about your top choice.
Once submitted, one of our Parent Customer Care representatives will reach out via phone or email within 24 hours (48 hours on weekends and holidays). During that exchange, you’ll be able to ask questions, learn more about fees, book a tour, and find the best suited location for your child.
There's an underground garage at the building but one does need to pay for parking. Parents may use 20 min max temporary parking right at the roundabout in front of the building, showing a permit issued from the centre.
Meet the Director
I am Anita Cao, the Centre Director of Kids & Company Finch. I hold a diploma in Early Childhood Education from Seneca College. I have been working in child care for over 10 years, and I have been with Kids & Company since 2011. My professional journey is characterized by a commitment to maintaining high standards of care and implementing educational programs to meet individual interests and needs. My goal has always been to ensure the well-being of every child in our care. Working with children is a rewarding experience because I have the opportunity to witness their growth and learning. My favourite thing about the Kids & Company Finch location is that we are a small, close-knit community. The children, staff, and families all work together to create a welcoming and supportive environment, which feels like being part of a big family. It is this supportive atmosphere, where mutual aid and encouragement abound, that truly makes our centre a remarkable place. At Kids & Company, we are able to offer the best care for each child’s needs because we provide inclusive environments and accommodate each family’s unique requirements. Through our welcoming and supportive spaces, the children are confident to be the leaders in their own learning. Now that you know a little more about me, I hope to see you and your family soon!
Kids & Company’s Infant program welcomes newborns up to roughly 15 months. Infants learn about the world around them through their senses, so exploration is critical to their development. Nurturing educators support the children while they take in their surroundings, encouraging them to experience everything the classroom offers; be it creative art, exploring with blocks, listening to songs or engaging in story-time. Our infant program encourages children to follow their own established routines, while becoming comfortable and secure in a new group setting.
Kids & Company’s Toddler program is for children between the ages of roughly 15 months and 2.9 years. Toddlers are mobile and eager to explore their environment. As they strive for independence, our educators use an Emergent curriculum approach to learning that supports each child’s individuality. Some of the most important learning outcomes of our toddler program are language development, socialization, self-help skills, and the development of fine and gross motor skills.
Kids & Company’s Preschool program is designed for children between the ages of roughly 2.9 - 6 years. Our educators interact, observe and interpret the interests of our children to encourage discoveries. Our Preschool program provides a foundation for developing greater independence and problem-solving skills; the program integrates new concepts into our children’s world view, promotes sharing and mutual respect, and prepares them for Kindergarten.
