Welcome to Kids & Company Royal Oak Out of School Care and Child Care!
This unique location offers programming for Preschoolers, Kindergarten, and School-Age children, including a Before and After School program. We are located in the Royal Oak Centre plaza across the street from our main Royal Oak child care location, and we’re easily accessible by transit and car.
Our location is proudly endorsed by Eco-Healthy Child Care®, a program that partners with child care professionals to eliminate environmental hazards in early learning settings with the goal of protecting the health of children and staff.
Our Preschool and Kindergarten program can accommodate 24 children from ages 3 to 6. Our School Age Before and After School program can accommodate 24 children from ages 6 to 12. We are also open for School Break care, and Summer Camp.
Children are provided with snacks from our Kidco Kitchen that are nutritious and well-balanced. The Kidco Kitchen is founded on a fresh-from-scratch philosophy and our food contains no additives, preservatives, artificial flavours or colours. Learn more here.

My name is Audrie Dasalla and I am the Centre Director at Kids & Company Royal Oak Out of School Care and Child Care. Our centre is very welcoming with bright colours and big windows that allow natural sunlight in our classrooms all day long. A typical day includes unique Kids & Company programs such as Alpha Mania (reading), Mini Masters (art), Munchkinetics (movement), Music and French. When new parents visit our centre, I can’t help but boast about our amazing programs. Not only do the children love them, but they encourage creativity, self-expression, physical coordination and a love for learning that gives them a great foundation for kindergarten and beyond. To let you know a bit more about me, I hold a Degree of Bachelor of Science in Secondary Education and a Child Development Supervisor (Level III) Certificate. I have been working in the child care field for well over a decade and with Kids & Company since 2009. It was then that I became passionate about working with families and caregivers with multicultural backgrounds. I have a wonderful and adorable son named Julian. We love to spend time together watching movies, playing video games, taking adventures, swimming, reading books and playing sports. I also love cooking, listening to music and hanging out with old friends and relatives. Now that you know more about me, I would love to learn more about you and your family! Kids & Company’s Infant program welcomes newborns up to roughly 15 months. Infants learn about the world around them through their senses, so exploration is critical to their development. Nurturing educators support the children while they take in their surroundings, encouraging them to experience everything the classroom offers; be it creative art, exploring with blocks, listening to songs or engaging in story-time. Our infant program encourages children to follow their own established routines, while becoming comfortable and secure in a new group setting.
Kids & Company’s Toddler program is for children between the ages of roughly 15 months and 2.9 years. Toddlers are mobile and eager to explore their environment. As they strive for independence, our educators use an Emergent curriculum approach to learning that supports each child’s individuality. Some of the most important learning outcomes of our toddler program are language development, socialization, self-help skills, and the development of fine and gross motor skills.
Kids & Company’s Preschool program is designed for children between the ages of roughly 2.9 - 6 years. Our educators interact, observe and interpret the interests of our children to encourage discoveries. Our Preschool program provides a foundation for developing greater independence and problem-solving skills; the program integrates new concepts into our children’s world view, promotes sharing and mutual respect, and prepares them for Kindergarten.
Kids & Company’s School Age program accepts children from 5 - 12 years old (Grade 1 - 6) and is available at select locations. Programs include Before and After School Care, School Break Programming, and Summer Camp. Classroom space exists for smaller groups to gather, and activities are designed to meet the needs of varying developmental levels, touching on arts, science, math, drama, imaginative play, and physical fitness. Educators are also available to provide academic support for children that wish to do their homework during After School Care.
