Our centre is located in a charming building that was once Fanny’s Fabrics – a manufacturing company founded in the 1970s. Inside are huge windows and tall, lofty ceilings along with a large parking lot for easy pick-up and drop-off. Our centre is always filled with natural light and has a fresh, open-concept feel which creates an active and fun learning environment for our children. Our neighbourhood is surrounded by beautiful parks and is conveniently located at the corner of Bow Trail and 40th St. SW, just on the outskirts of the downtown core, en route for many of our parents’ commutes to work.
Our location is proudly endorsed by Eco-Healthy Child Care®, a program that partners with child care professionals to eliminate environmental hazards in early learning settings with the goal of protecting the health of children and staff.
We have 10 classrooms that can accommodate 128 children in our Infant, Toddler, Preschool, Kindergarten, and School Age programs. Families have the option to enrol in any of those programs full-time or through our unique “backup care” feature.
Caregivers will have access to our password-protected webcams to keep up to date on their child’s day anytime they are in the classroom. You’ll find classrooms are full of engaging toys that support our emergent curriculum and learn through play philosophy.
Children are provided with a hot lunch and 3 snacks each day, catered by our Kidco Kitchen. The Kidco Kitchen is founded on a fresh-from-scratch philosophy and our food contains no additives, preservatives, artificial flavours or colours. Learn more here.
Subsidies are accepted in Alberta for families who qualify. Contact the Centre Director for more information.

Meet the Director
My name is Michelle Eaton and I am the Director at the Kids & Company Bow Trail centre. I have been working at Kids & Company since November of 2006, and am a recipient of a Level 3 Early Childhood Education diploma and a teaching diploma from The Nova Scotia Teacher’s College. To tell you a bit more about myself, I have a beautiful daughter named Charlie who started with Kids & Company when she was 11 months. Over the years she has made several great friends and has grown leaps and bounds past my expectations. In my spare time, I enjoy being in the kitchen and cooking up tasty meals for my family, camping, fishing, boating and watching my favourite sports team, the New York Jets! I have yet to see them play live but that is at the top of my list! What I love most about our Kids & Company Bow Trail centre are the amazing teachers and students. They have become like a second family to me and we are always smiling and having fun each and every day! Now that you know a bit more about me, I would love to meet you! I hope you come visit our Bow Trail centre and see for yourself how Kids & Company can provide the right care and education for your child.
Kids & Company’s Infant program welcomes newborns up to roughly 15 months. Infants learn about the world around them through their senses, so exploration is critical to their development. Nurturing educators support the children while they take in their surroundings, encouraging them to experience everything the classroom offers; be it creative art, exploring with blocks, listening to songs or engaging in story-time. Our infant program encourages children to follow their own established routines, while becoming comfortable and secure in a new group setting.
Kids & Company’s Toddler program is for children between the ages of roughly 15 months and 2.9 years. Toddlers are mobile and eager to explore their environment. As they strive for independence, our educators use an Emergent curriculum approach to learning that supports each child’s individuality. Some of the most important learning outcomes of our toddler program are language development, socialization, self-help skills, and the development of fine and gross motor skills.
Kids & Company’s Preschool program is designed for children between the ages of roughly 2.9 - 6 years. Our educators interact, observe and interpret the interests of our children to encourage discoveries. Our Preschool program provides a foundation for developing greater independence and problem-solving skills; the program integrates new concepts into our children’s world view, promotes sharing and mutual respect, and prepares them for Kindergarten.
Kids & Company’s School Age program accepts children from 5 - 12 years old (Grade 1 - 6) and is available at select locations. Programs include Before and After School Care, School Break Programming, and Summer Camp. Classroom space exists for smaller groups to gather, and activities are designed to meet the needs of varying developmental levels, touching on arts, science, math, drama, imaginative play, and physical fitness. Educators are also available to provide academic support for children that wish to do their homework during After School Care.
