Our Bedford location is at the south end of Bedford on Dellridge Lane. There are shops, banks, restaurants and a Sobeys nearby, making this a convenient place to meet all of your family’s needs. There is also a bus stop nearby and plenty of parking spaces for caregivers during pick-up and drop-off.
We have 10 classrooms that can accommodate 179 children from ages 0 to 12 years old. Infant, Toddler, Preschool and School Age programs are available with the option of full-time and backup care. School Aged programs are available for Before and After School care, School Break care (i.e. PD Days, March Break), and Summer Camp.
At Kids & Company, we use an emergent curriculum and learn-through-play philosophy. This means children are encouraged to follow their interests and are guided by our Early Childhood Educators as they learn.
Inside are spacious rooms with high ceilings and large windows that create a fresh and warm learning environment. Classrooms are full of educational toys and are equipped with webcams so that caregivers can keep up to date on their child’s day. Outside is a large play area with rubber turf and separate spaces to accommodate different age groups.
Children are provided with a hot lunch and 3 snacks each day, made by our in-house chef. All meals are based on a fresh-from-scratch philosophy and our food contains no additives, preservatives, artificial flavours or colours.

Meet the Director
My name is Kelly Richards and I am the Centre Director at Kids & Company Bedford. I am a recipient of diploma from St. Joseph’s College of Early Childhood Education and have been in the child care field for over 15 years. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family, having coffee with my friends and reading a good book in the sun. I love the diversity of our Bedford families and the strong sense of community. All of our families and teachers know each other so well and it never ceases to make me smile!
Kids & Company’s Infant program welcomes newborns up to roughly 18 months. Infants learn about the world around them through their senses, so exploration is critical to their development. Nurturing educators support the children while they take in their surroundings, encouraging them to experience everything the classroom offers; be it creative art, exploring with blocks, listening to songs or engaging in story-time. Our infant program encourages children to follow their own established routines, while becoming comfortable and secure in a new group setting.
Kids & Company’s Toddler program is for children between the ages of roughly 18 months and 2.5 years. Toddlers are mobile and eager to explore their environment. As they strive for independence, our educators use an Emergent curriculum approach to learning that supports each child’s individuality. Some of the most important learning outcomes of our toddler program are language development, socialization, self-help skills, and the development of fine and gross motor skills.
Kids & Company’s Preschool program is designed for children between the ages of roughly 2.5 - 5 years. Our educators interact, observe and interpret the interests of our children to encourage discoveries. Our Preschool program provides a foundation for developing greater independence and problem-solving skills; the program integrates new concepts into our children’s world view, promotes sharing and mutual respect, and prepares them for Kindergarten.
Kids & Company’s School Age program accepts children from 5 - 12 years old (Grade 1 - 6) and is available at select locations. Programs include Before and After School Care, School Break Programming, and Summer Camp. Classroom space exists for smaller groups to gather, and activities are designed to meet the needs of varying developmental levels, touching on arts, science, math, drama, imaginative play, and physical fitness. Educators are also available to provide academic support for children that wish to do their homework during After School Care.
