Our Kids & Company Finch centre is conveniently located in an office building at Yonge Street and Finch Avenue. Though it is a busy area, as soon as you walk into our centre you immediately find yourself in a warm, engaging and nurturing environment. We have 5 classrooms that can accommodate up to 59 children ranging from infant to 5 years of age. Each classroom is filled with bright colours, natural sunlight and the smiling faces of both our children and teachers. Our outdoor playground is situated in a beautiful area in the building’s courtyard, surrounded by plenty of trees and gardens. It offers the children a great space to run, play, and practice their Munchkinetics movement program outside. We have an amazing team of enthusiastic and dedicated teachers who take both pleasure and pride in seeing our children grow and transition through each program!
There's an underground garage at the building but one does need to pay for parking. Parents may use 20 min max temporary parking right at the roundabout in front of the building, showing a permit issued from the centre.
Meet the Director
I am Crystal Noriel, the Centre Director of Kids & Company Finch. I attended Humber College where I received a diploma for Early Childhood Education, and I attended The University of Ottawa where I received a Bachelor of Social Sciences and a Minor in Sociology. I have been working in child care for over 10 years, and I have been working with Kids & Company since 2013. I first became interested in working with children after volunteering as an instructor in a children’s learn-to-skate program. During my high school years, I also worked part-time as a kitchen coordinator directing children’s birthday parties. I have a beautiful family of my own with my husband and my son Aiden. In my spare time, I enjoy visiting with family, travelling, and exploring the different walking trails around Toronto. I also enjoy winding down with a good colouring book. My favourite thing about the Kids & Company Finch location is that we are a small close-knit community. The children, staff and families all work together to create a welcoming and supportive environment. At Kids & Company, we are able to offer the best care for each child’s needs because we offer inclusive environments, and accommodate each family’s unique requirements. Through our welcoming and supportive spaces, the children are confident to be the leaders in their own learning. Now that you know a little more about me, I hope to see you and your family soon!
At Kids & Company, we work with your family to ensure that the transition is a smooth one. Before your child’s first day, we’ll provide information on what to expect. We’ll create an integration schedule that is right for your child and every day that your child is in the classroom, you’ll receive a daily report that lets you know how your child’s day was. You’ll also be able to see him or her on our in classroom web cameras. The Centre Director will even send you an email before the end of the day if your child has a special “wow” moment that day.
Toddlers learn best in the context of relationships within small groups. There are fewer distractions and children’s activities are more focused. In Kids & Company toddler classrooms, our small groups allow very young children to make connections, form caring relationships, and learn to understand other children.
All two-year-olds examine everything they see, hear, feel and observe in an attempt to make sense of the world around them. In our preschool programs, Kids & Company teachers interact, observe and interpret the interests of preschool students to encourage further discoveries by planning activities and investigations that expand your child’s learning.
Kids & Company runs comprehensive kindergarten programs designed for children who are 4 or 5 years old (junior and senior kindergarten age) to prepare them for Grade 1. Using emergent curriculum techniques to adapt to the children’s’ interests and skills, we set a foundation of early literacy, numeracy, artistry, and the construction of relationships and ideas. Kindergarten programs are integrated into full-time child care to provide convenience and continuity.
For the time being, our in-centre birthday party and other live events will temporarily not be available. If you require any information on future bookings or have any questions, please reach firstname.lastname@example.org
