The Stock Yards location is in the Stock Yards Village Plaza, not far from the St. Clair Ave W. and Weston Rd intersection. There is a bus stop right in front of our site for families travelling by transit, and we are located within a large parking structure which makes drop-off and pick-up pain-free for those travelling by care as well.
We have 6 classrooms that can accommodate nearly 100 children from a few months old to 4 years old. Infant, Toddler, Preschool, and Kindergarten programs are available with the option of full-time, part-time, or backup care. Classrooms are equipped with webcams that caregivers can access throughout the day, and each room also has large windows to let in lots of natural light. We have a large outdoor playground that children can enjoy year-round.
We provide our children with a hot lunch and 3 snacks each day, catered by our Kidco Kitchen. The Kidco Kitchen is founded on a fresh-from-scratch philosophy and our food contains no additives, preservatives, artificial flavours or colours. Learn more here.

I am Melissa Garcia-Medeiros, the Centre Director of Kids & Company Stockyards. I attended Sheridan College where I received a diploma for Early Childhood Education Diploma. I have been working in child care for 10 years, and I have been working with Kids & Company since 2015. When I was younger, I would babysit my little cousins which led me to fall in love with caring for children. I am happily married and fortunate enough to have three boys of my own, who are always keeping me on my toes. In my spare time, I enjoy travelling, spending time with my family, and camping. My favourite thing about the Kids & Company Stockyards location is that we treat each other like family and have built such a strong team so we can lean on each other whenever we need. What makes our centre unique is that we are so nurturing and loving, and we are always there for our families. Kids & Company is extremely flexible for everyone, especially our working parents who are in need. We have an emergency backup program so that you will also be accommodated. I hope when people see our centre, they will fall in love with our programs and curriculum. You will see that we will prepare your children to be extremely successful in their first years at school. Now that you know a little more about me, I hope to see you and your family soon!
Kids & Company’s Infant program welcomes newborns up to roughly 18 months. Infants learn about the world around them through their senses, so exploration is critical to their development. Nurturing educators support the children while they take in their surroundings, encouraging them to experience everything the classroom offers; be it creative art, exploring with blocks, listening to songs or engaging in story-time. Our infant program encourages children to follow their own established routines, while becoming comfortable and secure in a new group setting.
Kids & Company’s Toddler program is for children between the ages of roughly 18 months and 2.5 years. Toddlers are mobile and eager to explore their environment. As they strive for independence, our educators use an Emergent curriculum approach to learning that supports each child’s individuality. Some of the most important learning outcomes of our toddler program are language development, socialization, self-help skills, and the development of fine and gross motor skills.
Kids & Company’s Preschool program is designed for children between the ages of roughly 2.5 - 5 years. Our educators interact, observe and interpret the interests of our children to encourage discoveries. Our Preschool program provides a foundation for developing greater independence and problem-solving skills; the program integrates new concepts into our children’s world view, promotes sharing and mutual respect, and prepares them for Kindergarten.
